Evatane® Success Stories
Bitumen Modification:
Le Pont de Normandie
Evatane® was used in the waterproofing layer and wearing course of the Pont de Normandie. One of its benefits is to improve the mechanical strength and watertightness of asphalt.
The incorporation of Evatane® improves the low temperature flexibility and raises the softening point of the bitumen. Significant improvements are also achieved in the performance of road and similar surfaces by using Evatane® modified bitumen as the binder.
High Content Evatane® are used as an additive for bitumen, to improving the elasticity of bitumen at extreme temperatures, and extend the shelf-life of road surfaces.
Hot Melt Adhesives:
High Content Evatane® are used in the manufacture of hotmelt adhesives. These glues are able to achieve high speeds on packaging lines. This is the polymer of choice to formulate adhesives for packaging, bookbinding, the manufacture of labels, furniture assembly, etc… Evatane® Copolymers are also used as a toughening agent in wax blends coatings. It modifies waxes, with excellent barrier properties.
